The school will be organized in a 19th century castle at "Ile de Berder" from the 28th of August till the 1rst of September. "Ile de Berder" is a beautiful island situated in South Brittany on the west coast of France. The island is about 23 ha with pleasant sanded beaches - a very favourable environment for intellectual activity in ideal surroundings for sight-seeing and various water activities.





Lodging will be provided in double occupancy rooms offering standard confort (shower and toilets in the corridor, towels are not provided). Meals are taken at the castle from lunch time Monday the 28th till Friday lunch time the 1rst.




The Island can be reached by foot at low tide (tide time table) from the town of Larmor-Baden. At high tide a small boat (hired by the castle) will sail you to the island (Be Careful: Not from 12h30 to 13h30 and from 19h45 to 21h).

Considering the travel time from Paris (for attendees from outside France), you might need to plan a hotel room in Paris or nearby the island on the nights before and after the meeting. Another possibility could be to contact directly the castle in order to book those nights.

The closest train station is in VANNES, which is 20 mn away from Berder. Numerous TGV reach VANNES from Paris and other places. More information about train time table will be provided later.
There is a bus going from the SNCF Station to BERDER everyday except sunday at 8h00 - 12h15 - 17h15 only. Otherwise taxis are available (02 97 57 06 51).

On the last day a bus has been hired to reach the train station for the 4pm TGV to Paris
